Readers' Choice Awards

In 2011, DarkFuse implemented a new awards system based off its most popular series, the Delirium Book Club.  This award is voted on exclusively by book club members (hardcover, EPUB, & Kindle clubs).  Each quarter every book club member receives an e-ballot to vote on which novella they felt was superior that quarter as judged by the quality of the fiction. The winners of all 4 quarters are then added to a final ballot which is again sent to all book club members.  The author whose novella is the readers' choice winner, receives:

  • $500 in cash
  • Option for a new publishing contract at 100% profit royalty payout for next accepted novella title
  • Award

This is a true award voted on by those who matter most, which are the readers.  It is not governed by a panel or fueled by a social popularity campaign.  It is not lobbied for by the authors who are published.  It is truly a unique award.

The Delirium editors receive 400-500 manuscripts per year.  24 are given contracts.  4 are voted into the final ballot by book club members.  And only 1 is chosen by the readers to be the best.
